Youhanna converted to Christianity several years ago, after which his wife and children left him. His family beat him severely many times. He was imprisoned in an attempt to force him to return to Islam.
Eventually he moved from his area of Iraq to Iraqi Kurdistan.
His long-term health is deteriorating due to the sustained physical abuse, and he was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
Prayer Points
Youhanna requests prayer for:
- local people who can provide support, as he lives by himself and struggles with pain
- open doors to become involved in ministry, especially discipleship and hymn writing
- finding ways to financially support himself
- God to “use him in encouraging brothers and sisters to unite as a church and care for the needy”
