Friends of Christian convert Nasser Navard Goltapeh request prayer for him after his mother, Sahab Fazli, passed away on 29 November.
Nasser (61) was unexpectedly pardoned and released from prison on 17 October after having served half a 10-year sentence in Evin Prison for “acting against national security through forming and establishing illegal house churches.”
In August 2021 Sahab released a video (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9yZv_Kn1x8&t=6s) on Nasser’s birthday calling for his release: “He’s already spent four years in prison. What was his crime? For God’s sake, please free him!… I am very lonely. Anyone who can do something for him, please do it. Free Nasser.”
Nasser’s friends thank God that Sahab was able to rejoice that her son was freed last month and that he and his mother were able to spend the last weeks together. They request prayer for the God of all comfort to uphold Nasser and his family at this challenging time and to direct Nasser regarding future steps.
