Recently we asked for prayer for A., a Saudi convert to Christianity who has several court cases against him and is under pressure from his in-laws because of his conversion.
The most recent hearing was 30 May, with the verdict expected on 3 June. The fear is he will be sentenced to a prison again (he has already served several prison sentences).
His wife had been lured to her family’s home, locked up and pressured to divorce A. However he managed to get her released and they have been reunited.
This incident reinforced existing concerns about the safety of A.’s wife and son, especially if he is again sentenced to prison. Discussions are ongoing about plans to keep them safe in the near and longer term future.
Prayer Points
Please pray:
- For the Lord’s peace and protection for A., his wife and their son
- that A. will not be sentenced to prison
- for the wisdom for those planning for the wife and son’s safety
